Whew, what a ride!!

We are back from operation #KKnNYC and we must say it was indeed an experience that neither of us will soon forget. The city that NEVER sleeps provided the perfect backdrop for us to live Sex in the City style for 5 fun filled days!

First, we must say a huge THANK YOU once again to the Fro Fashion Week team for having Kurvy Kuties on the runway again this year for Fro Fashion Week 2013 (www.FroFashionWeek.com)! This was our 2nd appearance and we are forever honored to be a part of such a wonderful event. The entire staff of FFW were very accommodating and are always a pleasure to work with. They did an awesome job selecting our designers, MUAs and hair stylists, as well as that awesome venue!

Speaking of our designer...the world is not ready for the incomparable Ms. Antoinette Middleton!! She styled us in vampire realness complete with chains and faux leather!! We certainly gave the audience more than they bargained for as they were literally brought to their feet. Of course we can not leave out the assist from the one and only Raqui. The accessories provided by Necessories by Raqui were phenomenal...we are still hearing talks about the veil that was covered with skull heads...HAUTE! We were so honored to be a part of this event. We met some really fierce, sweet ladies who are currently giving the full figured industry HELL and we love it! The venue for Fro Fashion Week was so amazing...complete with a models loft! Kai Studios located in Brooklyn is such a sleek, elegant, upscale venue and was perfect for our high fashion showcase. This summer we held a model call looking for more fabulous Kurvy Divas to add to the KK team. We are happy to announce that we have 10 new KK Divas! These ladies are amazing, encouraging, beautiful and ready to entertain and uplift you!

Fro Fashion Week 2013--New York City

We are so excited to have been selected to participate in Fro Fashion Week this year which will be taking place in New York! This will be our 2nd round on the runway for this event and we are bubbling over with excitement!

This years event is actually a part of New York Fashion Week which is even more fantastic as we have never been a part of NYFW before. We are so thankful to the staff of FFW for continuing to include the full figured community in this event. There certainly are few other organizations who include full figured models in high level fashion events such as this...so being able to participate on such a huge stage during NYFW is such a gigantic leap for the full figured community as a whole!

If you are in the New York area September 5-8, definitely check out New York Fashion Week and come see us on the runway for Fro Fashion Week! This years theme...GOTHIXS!

Kurvy Kuties will be holding a model call for ladies ages 18 and up, at least 5'6 tall, and sizes 14-26 on June 30 from 2-4pm. 

There is only one thing you must do in order to participate...you must RSVP! LRFFFW The Wiz of the Runway Wrap Up

Hello Kurvy-Nistas! I certainly hope your were among the over 200 people who were in attendance for the 4th installment of Little Rock Full Figure Fashion Week!

We had such a great time and we were so proud of the fashionable plus size clothing that we showcased for you this year...All inspired by the 1970s movie The Wiz!

Angela McKenzie with AnJaNell showcased her plus line inspired by the scarecrow. Simply Fashion showcased their ho summer digs inspired by  No Bad News (very rock star chic). J. Mitchell Boutique gave us Brand New Day. Jewel Couture by Pam Brown showed us tin man realness with her unique, on trend jewelry items. Kurvy Kuties went all out in animal print inspired by the mean ol' lion. Unique Sisters of Atlanta wrapped I all up with their The Wiz scene with their rendition of 2013 characters. Then everyone eased on down the road in their yellow inspired by the yellow brick road.

All the models looked great and the show was amazing! We owe all of our thanks to everyone who helped make this happen: All of our volunteers, vendors, MUA team (Mari and Tiffany-Atlanta), hair ($50 Weave Shop), photographers (Soulful Shots, Ms. Camera Lady Blevins) and YOU! We can never do this if not for the awesome audience and supporters who come to our shows and show us so much love...so thank you!

We also just loved all of our children actors who gave life to The Wiz: Dorothy (Lailah), Scarecrow (Malik), Tin Man (Jaylon), Lion (Brandon), 4 Crows (Lorenzo, Tyler, Jayln, Kamiyah). They worked
so hard and it really showed.

Thank you and congratulations to our guest models who put in work! They did such an maxing job on the runway and literally set it on fire! These ladies worked so hard and were so dedicated and it was truly an honor being on the runway with them: Tonisha, Brendae, Monica, Shalimar, Ebony, Kimberly, Ariel, and Brittany.

This year, our ATL KK was able to join in the fun...much love to Nia and Markeeta for coming all the way to Arkansas to rip the runway once again!

Last, my KK Divas...you ladies are amazing. There are not enough words to express how wonderful I is to work with you all. I asked for us all to step it up and give them a show and you all did just that...SERVED CAKE! I loved it! Much love to all my KK Divas:Dianna, Sheena, Danielle, Gia, Jessica, Ebony, Sylvia, LaQuanda, and Brittany. Turn Down For What!
